Loving - custom cool rugs

I am currently smitten with the rugs from Custom Cool Rugs, each design can be made from hundreds of color choices and to your specifications!! The possibilities are endless! One of my amazing readers alerted me to their site. How did I not know about this company? Below is a sample of their designs. They are gorgeous, they can be made with silk, or wool and many of the designs can be of a woven or kilim design. They also make pillows and have choices for the kiddies. {Although, I think most of the designs could be used in a kid's room!}

The warm weather FINALLY arrived in Boston this week! You really can't go wrong with a tiny t. I especially love them in white, in grey and in stripes! Pair one with jeans, skirts, your bathing suit. They work with really anything. I'm excited to finally wear some summery clothing.

Before

In a perfect world I would have waited to find the perfect faux bamboo cabinet to repaint, but I really wanted to find and finish a piece asap. Here's my Craig's list find, it needs a lot of love, but that's the fun part!! I love the fret work detail over the glass windows. I will share the after shots. I do know this, I'm definitely painting it a high gloss white and I'm either going to wall paper or paint the interior {possibly a coral pink color}! I'll be sure the share the after shots with all of you. In the meantime here's a bit of interior inspiration.

Color your world

I can envision Sis Boom's selection of fabrics, pillows and rugs in a cottage or summer home. They sort of have a granny chic feeling about them!  In any case, if you're looking to introduce some color into your home, any of these items would do the trick. They also sell fabric by the yard!

Inspired = Soft Pink + Tan

I love the soft sophistication of combining pink and tan. The tan beautifully grounds the pink! It's a timeless look for interiors and fashionably works year round! The bottom living room photo is by designer Ruthie Sommers. I have long loved that animal print rug. I would LOVE it if one of my client's agreed!!

Here's an inspiration board I put together for a client this weekend. She gave me a few adjectives to work with and this is what I've created. I have of course chosen all the furnishings, fixtures and textiles too! It's going to be rainy all week so hopefully this post brings you a bit of sunshine.

This Dhurrie rug from Wisteria. I just sent this photo to a client, so I thought I'd share it with you!! I seem to be on a black, gray and white kick this week, could it possibly be from all this GRAY weather?? I promise to return with some colorful posts this week..because guess what? It's going to rain all week again!

Sweet Dreams

I'm off to bed, it's been a long week! My daughter has been waking up at 5 a.m.. Any tips on how to change this?? She's 15 months old and I don't think I've slept past 6 a.m. in six months.
I still need to finish up my bedroom room . I couldn't help but add a dose of color to this space {maybe yellow or kelly green or violet - violet would be chic.} The fur throw would need to be fake, nor would it take over the entire bed like this one, but there is something very sexy and glamorous about this room! Sweet Dreams.

I've been frequently visiting Noir Furniture LA. for their mix of casually chic furniture! All of these piece would mix beautifully with color!!! I also periodically check their "as is" section for amazing deals. Their prices are reasonable. I know a shop that reps their brand locally if you are interested!
